Using the PurchaseX client software, you the purchasing manager, invite vendors to use their web browsers to come into a location to bid against each other for your business. This is a virtual room whose time and location are created by you, the Purchasing manager. You can see all of them, but they do not communicate with each other. The client software has been created to be very accommodating to the purchasing manager, any kind of specifications can be submitted for bid. Tools for tacking and recording auctions are provided and integration with MS Office tools comes standard with the package.

Benefits

Money - A company that does not use reverse auction software for purchasing did not get the best price. This product creates value in the first use as it collects all the money normally left on the table by the vendors.

Time - In normal practice, the shopping for the best price and waiting for bids to come in is very time consuming. Worst yet, the vendors can control the moment. PurchaseX becomes not only a price management too, but also a time management tool.

FleXibility - The 'X' in PurchaseX is the ability to create any auction, at any time, using any vendor list, for any kind of purchase. The competitive product often will require you to use their vendor or get you to register though a lengthy process. Sometimes quite transparently the competitive product seems to be more a tool of the vendors and the service provider then the guy paying for goods.

Accountability - Purchasing managers highly value the ability of PurchaseX to document the quality job they are doing. Often the companies unsung hero as it is difficult to see the money their company did NOT spend. PurchaseX has built-in reporting tools to show just that.

Technical

PurchaseX is an MS Windows (WinX, Win2k) platform product consisting of a client software install on the Purchasing Manger's desktop PC. The web site is hosted at TechX's hardened network operations center in Sparks, Nevada running on MS server products. Information is transmitted via SSL the same way credit card information is encrypted by banks and uses easy to integrate XML to transport the data.. The vendors must have Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater.
